Ernest John Hadaway “EJ” was a blacksmith, and like many others during World War II, enlisted as a private in the Australian Flying Corps.
After his return to Australia with wife and child in 1919 he opened a small blacksmith shop in North Melbourne intending to manufacture the best products on the market.
His brothers Eddie and Burt soon joined him and their commitment to customer satisfaction and providing high quality metal products is something that the Hadaway family have continued to provide for over 100 years.
